"description": "**Objective**\n« Mapping of the paratransit transport network in Accra using OSM » \n\n**Description**\nIn Accra, almost 80 percent of the motorized trip use Trô-trô lines. Those vehicles, 10 to 19-seater minibus, are operated by private operator organized along stops and fixed line. In 2008, the Urban Transport Project was created with the help of the World Bank and the AFD, and, in 2015, Ghana’s government provide Department of Transport (DoTs) in four municipalities of Accra. They’re in charge of taxi and Trô-Trô regulation in Accra and they made a call for project in order to acquire knowledge of the current Trô-Trô service. The wish was to develop an innovative approach by using smartphone technology to simplify the process of data collection and post treatment and, finally, to duplicate this kind of experience in other cities.\n\n[[https://git.digitaltransport4africa.org/places/accra|Repository]] | [[http://wiki.lafabriquedesmobilites.fr/wiki/Accra_Mobility|Wiki]] | [[http://data.afd.fr/accramobility/|Project Website]]\n",

"description": "**Objective**\nMapping of the second largest African City\n\n**Description**\nTransport for Cairo was founded in 2015 by a young team of computer engineers and transport and urban planners in order to map the transport system of the city of Cairo. Second largest city in Africa, the Cairo transport network presents some important insuficienses and roads that connec tthe city center with the \"desert\" cities are highly congested. The aim of the project was to provide a process that will help them to fully map the transport system\n\n[[https://git.digitaltransport4africa.org/places/cairo|Repository]] | [[http://wiki.lafabriquedesmobilites.fr/wiki/Transport_for_Cairo_(TfC)|Wiki]] | [[http://transportforcairo.com//|Website]]\n",

"description": "**Objective**\nProject of maping services provide by Chapas in Maputo\n\n**Description**\nIn Maputo, the public passenger transport services is provided principally by small private sector operators. They are using vehicles known as Chapas, mostly 15 and 25-seat minibuses or mini vans.\nIn 2014, the number of Chapas was estimated to 4.500 vehicules, operating along 130 routes and almost 60% of motorized trip were made by using Chapas. Some transit densification project like: a BRT in Maputo, a LRT to connect Maputo and Matola are under reflexion and the aim of the present project was to map the informal transit system in order to develop those mode in a more suitable and equitable manner.\n\n[[https://git.digitaltransport4africa.org/places/maputo|Repository]] | [[http://wiki.lafabriquedesmobilites.fr/wiki/Mapa_dos_Chapas|Wiki]] | [[https://chapasproject.wordpress.com/|Website]]\n",

"description": "**Objective**\nMapping of the paratransit network in Nairobi\n\n**Description**\nIn Nairobi, more than 2 million of trip occurred per day and almost 52% are motorized. More than 700 000 people use the Matatu’s fleet every day, composed of several types of vehicles with 14-seater van, 25-30 seater minibuses and 33-45 seater buses. The experience was drove by a group of universities (Nairobi, MIT and Columbia) to show how smartphone could help to collect data from informal transport system, and, with the financial help of the Rockefeller Foundation, they begin to map the 135 routes that compose the Nairobi’s Matatu system in order to produce a transport map and a GTFS feed.\n\n[[https://git.digitaltransport4africa.org/places/nairobi|Repository]] | [[http://wiki.lafabriquedesmobilites.fr/wiki/Digital_Matatus|Wiki]] | [[http://www.digitalmatatus.com/|Website]]",
